Papillion Gun Club
The Papillion Gun Club’s first shoot was held Saturday, December 8, 1923 on grounds west of Will Cordes’ home in the Northwest part of Papillion. It started at 10 AM with geese and ducks as prizes. Two traps were in use. The second shoot was held Sunday January 31, 1924 but the County Attorney, acting upon complaints of noise, issued an orser to halt the shoot and Sheriff Olderog came out and ordered the sportsmen to cease fire.
